    Les données ouvertes sur les écoles peuvent favoriser la responsabilité et participer à la lutte contre la corruption dans l’éducation, mais à condition qu’elles soient utilisées de manière efficace et que les mauvaises pratiques soient clairement sanctionnées. C’est ce qu’ont mis en lumière les chercheurs et décideurs participant au Forum politique international organisé à Manille par l’Institut international de planification de l’éducation de l’UNESCO (IIPE-UNESCO) et le ministère de l’Éducation des Philippines, lors de leurs discussions sur des initiatives concernant les données ouvertes à travers le monde.

    Vingt-et-une personnes ont été arrêtées, piégées par les autorités américaines qui avaient créé une fausse université pour démasquer une fraude à l’immigration. Selon les responsables, les fraudeurs savaient que l’University of Northern New Jersey n’existait pas mais n’imaginaient pas être tombés dans un piège tendu par les agents de l’immigration.
