    Avec une moyenne annuelle par professeur de 6,6 journées de «congé maladie ordinaire», la question du non-remplacement des professeurs absents est un sujet de tension avec les parents. Dans l'éducation nationale, 97 % des absences de longue durée sont remplacées dans le second degré. Un taux qui tombe à 38 % pour les absences de courte durée. En matière de remplacement de courte comme de longue durée, l'enseignement privé sous contrat est plus efficace que le public.
