    D’après l’ONG Transparency International, 66 % des fonds que le gouvernement nigérian alloue à l’éducation sont dérobés par des responsables corrompus. Mauvaise attribution des ressources, procédures d’achat détournées, rapports sexuels contre bonnes notes, malversations en matière d’examens, faux diplômes, absentéisme des enseignants et pratiques de recrutement corrompues sont autant d’exemples des défis que doit relever le secteur éducatif.
