    La commission sur le racisme et le sexisme dans l'enseignement supérieur, créée en mars 2008 par la ministre de l'Éducation, a pointé la banalisation de ces comportements, malgré les politiques adoptées par les établissements. Elle estime que la persistance de ces préjugés tient avant tout à une mauvaise diffusion des informations par les établissements. Elle recommande donc l'adoption d'un accord de transformation pour aider les établissements à sensibiliser le personnel aux besoins des étudiants issus de milieux culturels et économiques différents.

    Une enquête révèle qu'un tiers des étudiants reconnaît tricher à l'université en copiant des idées puisées dans des livres ou sur Internet. L'étude portant sur 1022 étudiants de 119 Universités et Instituts Supérieurs démontre qu'un étudiant sur six reconnaît avoir copié sur le travail de ses amis et que 10 % ont cherché à se procurer des dissertations sur Internet. Il apparaît également que les étudiants ont davantage tendance à copier sur leurs amis (21%) que les étudiantes (14%).
