    Dans un avis diffusé en date du 26 janvier 2005 sur son site Internet, le ministère de l'Éducation dresse la liste de 12 établissements privés officiellement agréés. Parmi eux, seul l'Institut Catholique de Yaoundé est habilité à délivrer des diplômes nationaux. Les 11 autres établissements sont autorisés à préparer les étudiants aux examens menant à l'obtention de diplômes nationaux délivrés par le ministère de l'Enseignement supérieur.
