    Mardi dernier, le ministre de la culture et de l’éducation a déclaré que le gouvernement voulait renforcer les normes d’intégrité lors du déroulement des examens nationaux de 2016. A cette fin, le Ministère de l’éducation et de la culture va utiliser un baromètre, à savoir l’index d’intégrité des examens (IINU), qui mesure le pourcentage de copies d’examens ne comportant aucun signe de tricherie.

    Le ministère de l’Éducation prépare de nouvelles lignes directrices pour garantir à nouveau l’intégrité des attestations délivrées à l’issue d’examens. Ces directives, qui devraient bientôt être soumises au Parlement, prévoiront des sanctions plus lourdes pour les responsables chargés d’organiser les examens. Des changements de grande ampleur ont eu lieu au sein du Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) dans le but de redorer le blason des examens. À la suite du scandale de l’an dernier, le gouvernement a dissous le conseil d’administration du KNEC le mois dernier.
