    Le Bureau de prévention et de répression de la corruption (KNAB) a emprisonné l’adjoint au maire de la ville de Riga et le vice-recteur de l’université de Lettonie pour avoir accepté un pot-de-vin de 20 000 euros. Le KNAB a eu accès à des informations prouvant que le haut fonctionnaire avait accepté un pot-de-vin d’un homme d’affaires alors qu’il était vice-président de la commission des appels d’offres, le faisant passer pour un don à une association.
