The public can obtain publicly accessible and usable data for advocacy, accountability, prevention, response, and planning through the Track Attacks on Education Data Portal. The Global Coalition to Protect Education from Attack (GCPEA) has made this dataset available from its Education under Attack database, which tracks military usage of educational facilities as well as attacks by armed forces and armed groups on schools, universities, students, and educators. News articles, reports from NGOs and the UN, and interactions with personnel of pertinent national and international organisations are used by GCPEA to create the database. TRACE was created by the PEIC Programme of the Education Above All (EAA) Foundation - Protecting Education in Insecurity and Conflict, in cooperation with Kobo Toolbox and the support of UNESCO and GCPEA as collaborating partners.
