Students Acting for Honesty, Integrity, and Equality (SHINE)

Integrity Action's Students Acting for Honesty, Integrity and Equality (SHINE) initiative works with young people (aged 14-19) who become monitors to identify and solve integrity problems in their schools. With the support of local partners, Integrity Clubs have been established in secondary schools to encourage the active participation of young people at risk of exclusion as monitors. Integrity Action uses a mobile application called DevelopmentCheck. Monitors use the app to record their findings, including problems they identified, proposed solutions, and feedback from the community on the project or service being monitored. Although use of the app is restricted to authorised users, the web application with all notifications and images is openly accessible.
