An Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) has been estalished in Hong Kong, whose objective is "to pursue the corrupt through effective investigation and prosecution, to eliminate opportunities for corruption by introducing corruption resistant practices, educate the public on the evils of corruption and foster their support in fighting corruption". A number of initiatives have been taken in the educational field, including actions that aim to educate the public regarding anti-corruption legislation and the consequences of corruption, as well as enlist public support. Youth is a major target in this preventive education work.
