    The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has launched a new biometric enrolment and validation of teachers system intended to address staff shortages and prevent the use of fake degrees. Pre-loaded data from the TSC payroll system will be validated when the teachers provide physical documents such as an enrolment certificate, national identity card, letter of first and last appointment together with their academic and professional certificates. This pilot registration took off in 143 schools in seven counties.

    NavaED owners indicted for stealing Florida education certification test answers

    Two teachers are accused of using their test prep business to help people cheat on the state's teacher certification exams. The charges include 108 counts of wire fraud and three counts of theft of trade secrets. According to the US Attorney’s office, the couple took the Florida Education Leadership Exam and Florida Teacher Certification Exams several times, and along with other employees memorized the questions and answers in order to design a study guide.

    A science teacher is accused of working in 25 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya simultaneously for 13 months and taking home approximately Rs 1 crore as salary. The police arrested one of the multiple persons impersonating the science teacher, using her academic records. The minister of education ordered a probe into the records of all 746 residential schools for girls. A First Information Report on the charges of dishonesty, cheating by impersonation, forgery of valuable security, forgery for purpose of cheating, using a forged document, was lodged against her.

    In Albania, the Civic Resistance’s team held a creative protest called “The Exposition of Shame in Education.” Held in front of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, an exhibition protest, reflected over 25 scandals from the past 20 months, with at least one scandal occurring every month.

    A teacher was arrested after stealing examination papers during a sitting exam conducted by the West African Council. Six of his students reported to the police that the teacher mandated them to extract sheets from the Math and Science question booklets and sneaked them out of the testing center.

    According to the New York City Councilman, teachers have been forced to pass students who do not do well on exams or who do not even show up to class regularly. Evidence of cheating and intimidation from principals was shared with the Department of Education and the U.S. Attorney's Office.
