The Monterrey Institute of Technology has been investigated for issuing fake diplomas. The Institute denies the accusations and explains that the paper and signatures used on the fake diplomas do not match their official documents. 

The video focuses on the cases of "pirate" degrees in Mexico, especially degrees in nursing, medicine, and law. The report shows how they can be detected using new technologies.

In Spain, there are instances where individuals pay to obtain fake diplomas. A team of investigators contacted a company specializing in selling fake diplomas to find out how it works. This makes it easy to become a primary school teacher.

The Ministry of Health in Paraguay detected two forged nursing degrees from a non-existent university. The case involves a health official and an IPS official. The complaint has been filed with the Public Prosecutor's Office

The document presents several cases of fraud within the education system in the province of Villa Clara, such as cheating during entrance exams, and the involvement of teachers and professors in assisting students during the exam. 

In one hour, and for about 38 dollars, you can get a false university degree in China, but the enforcement of punishment is making it ever more difficult to use such fraud to find a job or get into a foreign university. The measures introduced by China have curbed fraud and many fake degrees are now detected through authentication procedures; however, some genuine diplomas have been awarded to bogus students.

Four-week masters and doctorate degrees – and even undergraduate courses – are being offered over the Internet with no official recognition. Hence, the problem arises later when students seek admission to other universities, pass the entrance exam, but cannot enrol as their qualification is not recognised. In Latin America the demand for higher education is so great that people let themselves get sucked in.

The public prosecutor for economic crime in Mar de Plata is investigating 96 officers suspected of using falsified secondary-education degrees in order to get promoted. He also stated that a preliminary report by the Buenos Aires ministry of education has confirmed that 250 such certificates presented by police officers are being checked and at least 96 are false.

A master's in education and a PhD in culture and education in Latin America that do not meet the legal requirements were advertised by a university foundation in Bogotá. Furthermore, the programmes, delivered under an agreement with a Chilean university, were not registered with Colombia's education ministry.

The AITES Academy, which provides vocational training and saw hundreds of its nightclub doorman's certificates falsified, took its case to the Direcció General de Jocs i Espectacles de la Generalitat some six months ago to inform that the seal of the centre was being used to issue certificates whereas the corresponding training was not done. Police are continuing to investigate the matter and at least 400 fraudulent authorizations have been uncovered.
