Promoting Higher Education integrity: Montenegro adopts its Ethics Charter
Having been one of the first countries in Europe to enact a law on academic integrity, Montenegro has now adopted an Ethics Charter to further protect and promote academic integrity in higher education. From 16-18 November 2021, decision-makers, researchers, civil society representatives, and development partners can join a virtual Policy Forum on open government in education. By bringing new research to the forefront, the Policy Forum – in English, French, and Spanish – will help policy-makers and programme implementers improve education service delivery and reduce corruption in education.

Webinar on the fight against corruption in education in Uzbekistan
On February 17, as part of the Avloniy Webinar Series, IIEP Programme Specialist, Ms Muriel Poisson was invited to facilitate a webinar on corruption mitigation in the Uzbek education system. It was attended by over 230 school principals, teachers, administrative staff and other education stakeholders from around the country.

Improving transparency and accountability through public access to school data"
Decision-makers and high-level education officials from seven countries in the region are gathering in Sydney, Australia for the start of the My School study visit. This event, organized by the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Agency (ACARA) and the UNESCO International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP), will focus on how to improve transparency and accountability in schools in the Asia-Pacific region through the use of data.
