    The identification of all the properties originally meant for the education sector in Blida which had been diverted from their original purpose has, over the past few years, allowed for important assets to be recover for the sector and those that work within it, indicated the head of education of the Wilaya on Monday.     N'zérékoré: education stakeholders discuss the fight against corruption in schools

    Education authorities in N'Zérékoré are organizing a meeting to follow up on suspicions of embezzlement linked to the purchase of desks for Parents' Associations. The National Agency for the Fight against Corruption and Good Governance has announced the creation of a toll-free number to report cases of corruption. School officials and parent-teacher associations were sensitized to the notion of corruption and inappropriate practices. The prefect urged them to avoid manipulating associations to collect money from parents, stressing that those involved would have to answer to the law.

    In a rural district of Uganda, almost half of all teachers were absent on a typical school day. The African Network for the Prevention and Protection against Child Abuse and Neglect (ANPPCAN) trained a few student leaders in each school to take attendance of everyone, including teachers. As a result, teacher absenteeism has dropped to ten percent in this district.

    The "La Escuela es Nuestra" program was launched in 2019 as an initiative of the Federal Government in Mexico with the overall aim of improving the infrastructure and equipment of public basic education schools. The project focuses on promoting participatory management, with parents and pupils. The golas of this program are to foster citizen responsibility, prevent corruption in school budget management, and promote the values of integrity.
