The report of the National Anti-Corruption Commission revealed suspicions of financial and administrative corruption in the public education sector for the year 2018. These suspicions include embezzlement of funds by the accountant of a college in Menzel Bouzelfa (Nabeul), as well as the appropriation of public funds by the headmaster of a primary school in the governorate of Sidi Bouzid.

A junior college administrator apologized to district officials for trying to use the unusual anti-cheating technique: students wearing boxes, cut open on one side, to prevent them from being able to copy other people's work. A deputy director of the local pre-University Education Board, described the practice as "inhumane" and planned to take disciplinary action against school officials.

A student from East Greenwich High School student is accused of buying answers to an advanced placement test and selling them to about 20 or 30 other students.
