    Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime -

    The video showcases a platform comprising of civil society organizations (CSOs) based in North Macedonia. These organizations collaborate to combat corruption and promote good governance. The platform aims to develop material resources to improve the knowledge of the citizens. CSOs can contribute to address many societal challenges, by engaging in policy debates, proposing innovative, sustainable, and inclusive solutions, and monitoring the results of reform processes at beneficiary, regional and local level.

    From 4 to 10 July 2016, Transparency International (TI) organised its 7th annual School on Integrity in Vilnius, Lithuania. 120 young activists and future leaders from over 60 countries exchanged their experiences in the fight against corruption and participated in the anti-corruption and accountability training.

    Romanian pupils are taught about corruption

    A new anti-corruption campaign is being launched in Romania, this one aimed at students who give gifts to their teachers. A civic group and the government have teamed up to produce and distribute a guide that tells students that giving their teachers gifts such as flowers or money is "an act of masked corruption". Beginning next month, the guide will be distributed in Bucharest to high school students.

    Anti-Corruption academy to set up in Bulgaria

    The idea of creating an Anti-corruption academy comes from a civil association named GERB. The academy would apply international experience and attract foreign experts to deliver lectures. Tightening the fight against corruption practices, particularly on high echelons, has been among the key critiques of the European Commission to Bulgaria.
