The Department of Education has organized a campaign to urged parents of public and private school students to join the government in its fight against corruption. The department has launched a new Graft and Corruption Prevention Education Teaching Exemplars (GCPETE) which will be used by public school teachers to integrate anti-graft and corruption lessons in values education for elementary and schools.

Following a discussion with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the National Education Ministry announced a plan to include an anti-corruption module in the 2011 curriculum.

The nation will make the battle against corruption part of the high school curriculum in the 2013-14 academic year, starting in September, after it was piloted for three years in accordance with a government decision issued in late 2009.

Some of China's top universities are coming under scrutiny as part of the country's anti-corruption drive, with Shanghai's prestigious Fudan University last week named and shamed by anti-graft watchdog, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
