The Agence de prévention et de lutte contre la corruption (APLC) is urging the government to include an anti-corruption course in the national curriculum, from nursery school to university. According to the APLC's deputy coordinator, sanctions are not the only remedy for eradicating or eliminating corruption. APLC is working to raise awareness among the Congolese to change mentalities and integrate a new culture of integrity.

The education department has released a list of ghost employees at different schools in the region, following which 79 employees will be suspended. These employees include 8 high school teachers, 8 junior schoolteachers, 10 primary school teachers, 4 Sindhi language teachers and 2 headmasters, as well as non-teaching staff. The Sindh Education Department said that all the employees belonging to schools in Karachi have been absent from school for 8 months but were receiving a salary.

The High Authority for Good Governance in Côte d'Ivoire has announced the completion of the design of the manuals and training programme entitled "Education in the Fight against Corruption", intended for students and future civil servants. The documents will be forwarded to the government for adoption. This project on the fight against corruption was launched in 2019 from preschool to higher education through primary, secondary, technical and vocational education, as well as vocational training schools.

To prevent the leakage of question papers and other malpractices, the West African Examination Council (WAEC) has tightened the security of the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination. Ten cases of breaches of WAEC rules were identified, including people linked to rogue websites, while the suspects in three cases were convicted and fined by the court. According to the head of Public Affairs of WAECA, schools accused of malpractice will be monitored and confidential material and examination papers will be stored.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has taken strict action against 21 fake universities discovered across the country, including seven in Delhi. The information about these fake institutions came to light through public protests, student complaints, and references from states, Union Territories, and even local authorities. The UGC has issued warnings against these universities and published their names on its official website.

The new national agency for the evaluation and accreditation of Higher Education institutions and research centres in Tunisia aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the country’s universities and develop a research system of international quality. However, the Union of Tunisian University teachers criticised the establishment of the agency and called on the Ministry to be transparent and explain how the agency will be funded, at what cost to taxpayers, and what accountability mechanism will be used to stop the wastage of public money and nepotism.

The Calcutta High Court has directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to probe the alleged irregularities in the appointments of 269 teachers by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education in State-run schools. The 269 candidates were overmarked for a wrong question out of around 23 lakh aspirants in the Teachers’ Eligibility Test in 2014.

Following a growing number of misconduct allegations involving ministers and public servants, Queensland Department of Education Director-General announced zero tolerance to fraud and corruption and encouraged a culture of commitment to working with integrity. Employees and state school teachers and staff can now report alleged corruption through a new anonymous online portal.

The Central Bureau of Investigation filed a report against the former deputy director of the West Bengal school education directorate, officials of the School Service Commission and the Board of Secondary Education for criminal conspiracy, cheating, forgery for the purpose of cheating and using a forged document or electronic record as genuine. They extended undue advantage in appointing undeserving candidates to Group-D staff posts by violating departmental rules and using forged documents.
