The elementary and secondary education department has terminated the services of 104 teachers and other employees in the merged tribal districts for securing jobs on fake degrees or absenting themselves from duty for a long time during the last two decades. The department of education will examine the academic degrees and certificates of all employees in tribal districts.

A student from East Greenwich High School student is accused of buying answers to an advanced placement test and selling them to about 20 or 30 other students. The school’s superintendent told NBC 10 News that investigations are being conducted and will apply the student’s code of conduct whenever is necessary.

There are 27 suspected cases of irregularities in the school administration of the Ministry of Education. These irregularities include fake school packages and diplomas, amounting to a total of two million dollars.

The University of Lagos has suspended a lecturer who was caught on film propositioning and sexually harassing an undercover BBC reporter. Several students in the film also made allegations of abuse against the lecturer. The university said it was "highly embarrassed" by the allegations and pledged to do "all that is necessary" to investigate and combat the "menace" of harassment at the institution.

The new policy allows undergraduate students to remediate accusations of academic integrity before permanently placing them on their records through the remediation process. This involves a four-module online course that covers academic integrity is and provides strategies on how to achieve success with honesty.

Academic corruption exists in doctoral education even though this should reflect the highest standards of academic integrity. They not only give students the right answers during exams but they also change wrong test answers to the right ones. The Department of Education is carrying out an investigation.
