Two secondary schools that debated the theme "Students are essential in the fight against corruption" have been rewarded by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Through integrity clubs organized in schools, the EFCC aims to instil the values of hard work, integrity, probity and responsibility, and to encourage young students to start fighting corruption at its roots.

Thousands of KwaZulu-Natal children have been forced to go to school on an empty stomach. This comes after the collapse of the KZN National School Nutrition Programme due to tender irregularities and corruption. The provincial Department of Education is yet to provide information regarding this issue.

Over 5,000 students had their results withdrawn by Zimbabwe Schools Examination Council (ZIMSEC) after massive leaks. A headmaster and a teacher at Thokozani school had been arrested after they gained access to the examination papers and sold them to Zvishavane residents. The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) sanctioned 13 Secondary Schools in Gombe State over cases of examination malpractice. From 2018 to 2020, seven public secondary schools were found to be involved in exam malpractice. In 2022, the Ministry received a fresh set of six schools that committed the same offence, and they were also de-recognised with a penalty of N500,000 per school payable to WAEC. According to WAEC director, the threat of examination malpractice had a negative impact on students' performance in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations result: with an overall average of 55.6% in 2022 compared to 79.5 per cent in 2021.

The Ministry of Education of Trinidad and Tobago has outlined its digital transformation plan for the period 2022-2027. This plan consists of 13 digital projects, including: E-testing, a student management system, and quick-response identification cards for students. According to the Minister of education, "the benefits of this programme are far-reaching, and will positively impact areas such as records management, management of school infrastructure, curriculum delivery, teacher development and the conduct of examinations”.

The eMap government’s academic enrolment platform has been plagued by corruption. A survey revealed school officials charging between US$100 to US$250 for a Form 1 boarding place. After receiving payment, the school official responsible for selecting pupils on the platform would have access to the student’s eMap details for easy recognition following the announcement of results.

A study by Transparency International Bangladesh found secondary-level education activities, including recruitment of teachers and inclusion in the monthly pay order, plagued with widespread corruption and irregularities. To be appointed as assistant headmaster or headmaster, one needs to pay Tk 5,000 - 1 lakh bribe or Tk 3.5-15 lakh to be included in the monthly pay order. The study also found a lack of accountability in different administrative works of education officials who did not attend office in time and regularly.

Two Kwekwe High School teachers have been suspended after they allegedly asked parents for money to secure Form One places for their children. The matter only became public on the school's opening day, when the school authorities discovered that there was an extra class of 30 students, prompting the headmaster to launch an investigation.

School officials in the city of Athens and Limestone County have conspired to obtain more public funding by claiming to enrol full-time private students in the system's virtual schools. The two school districts were improperly paid around $7 million in state education funding for the 2016-17 and 2017-18 school years. By November 2017, more than 500 private school students were fraudulently enrolled in Athens Renaissance schools and over 50 students in Conecuh County.
