Public expenditure tracking survey in Burkina Faso
Following activities initiated in June 2011 on ethics and corruption in education in Burkina Faso, IIEP recently provided technical support to the national team in charge of carrying out a public expenditure tracking survey (PETS) in the country’s basic education sector, under the auspices of UNICEF.

Lao PDR writes its teachers' code of conduct
Lao People’s Democratic Republic moved quickly on the development of a national code of conduct for its eight categories of teachers. Launched in mid-2012, the project now enters its final stage: a draft code is ready to be sent for comments to relevant stakeholders, and will then be piloted in a few schools, before being finalized in 2013.

Transparency International School on integrity 2016
From 4 to 10 July 2016, Transparency International (TI) organised its 7th annual School on Integrity in Vilnius, Lithuania. 120 young activists and future leaders from over 60 countries exchanged their experiences in the fight against corruption and participated in the anti-corruption and accountability training.

On 12 May 2016, the UK hosted the first International Anti-Corruption Summit, bringing together government leaders, and representatives from businesses and civil society to discuss strategies for tackling corruption.

Youth against corruption: the Council of Europe seeks IIEP's expertise
In early June, Muriel Poisson from IIEP advised the Council of Europe’s Committee on Culture, Science, Education and Media on measures to engage youth in the detection of corruption and the enforcement of anti-corruption initiatives.
