The purpose of this paper is to examine corruption in Vietnam's higher education system and offer a number of suggestions to address the issue.

Corruption in public procurement has become a major issue in the Asia-Pacific region as elsewhere in the world.

Using the four principal functions of universities, this article examines several key dilemmas relating to governance of higher education in South East Asia, specifically in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
