Analytical report on the result of the endline data collection of SGC functionality

This report is prepared for the Department of Education as part of the implementation of the Secondary Education Support Program (SESP), with support from the Asian Development Bank. It analyzes the result of the endline data collection and verification of the School Governance Council (SGC) functionality.
The DepEd introduced SGC (formerly School Governing Council) in the early 2000. Guided by the RA 9155 or the Governance RA 9155 or the Governance of the Basic Education Act of 2001, and to strengthen the implementation of the School Based Management, the Department Order 26 series of 2022 was issued to officially mandate the establishment of the School Governance Council. This provides the basis for the development of the tool for assessing the SGC functionality.
